Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information No Name Digital collects when you use this website or our services, why we collect it, what we do with it, and the rights you have under UK data protection law.
We've tried to write it in plain English. If anything is unclear, email info@nonamedigital.co.uk and we'll explain.
1. Who we are
No Name Digital Ltd is the data controller for any personal information we collect through this website or in the course of providing our services. "We", "us" and "our" refer to No Name Digital Ltd throughout this policy.

2. What information we collect
We only collect personal information when you choose to share it with us, or when it's needed to make the website work. Specifically:
Information you give us directly
- Contact and enquiry forms. Your name, email address, phone number (optional), company name, and the content of your message.
- Bookings for our Academy course. Name, email, phone, billing details, and any background you share about your goals or experience.
- Newsletter or email signups (if you opt in). Your email address.
- Job applications or partnership enquiries. Anything you choose to send us, including CVs and portfolios.
Information we collect automatically
- Analytics data. Pages you visit, how you got here, your approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and how long you spend on the site. Collected via Google Analytics. See our Cookies policy for detail.
- Advertising data. If you visit our site after clicking an ad, or interact with our content on Meta platforms, Meta Pixel may record this for ad measurement and retargeting. Again, see our Cookies policy.
- Server logs. Standard web server records — IP address, date and time, requested page — held briefly for security and debugging.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. Our courses and services are aimed at professional adults.
3. Why we collect it, and our legal basis
Under UK GDPR, we have to tell you the legal basis on which we process each type of information. Here's how that breaks down:
| What we do | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Reply to your enquiry | To answer your questions and discuss working together | Legitimate interest |
| Deliver a course or workshop you've booked | To provide the service you've paid for | Performance of a contract |
| Process payments | To take payment for our services | Performance of a contract |
| Send marketing emails | To share relevant content, courses and offers | Consent (you opt in) |
| Improve the website with analytics | To understand what's useful and what isn't | Consent (cookie banner) |
| Measure ad performance and retarget | To run efficient marketing campaigns | Consent (cookie banner) |
| Keep records for tax and accounting | HMRC requires us to | Legal obligation |
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We do share specific information with a small number of trusted service providers who help us run the business. They're contractually bound to protect it and to use it only for the purposes we've agreed:
- Typeform — for enquiry, booking and signup forms on our landing pages.
- Stripe (or another regulated payment processor) — to take payments for courses and workshops. We never see or store your full card details.
- Google (Analytics & Workspace) — for website analytics, email, and document collaboration.
- Meta — for ad measurement and retargeting, only if you've consented to marketing cookies.
- Our hosting provider — to serve this website.
- Email marketing platform (e.g. Mailchimp, ConvertKit) — to send our newsletter, only to subscribers who've opted in.
- Our accountants — for bookkeeping, tax returns, and statutory filings.
We may also share information if we're legally required to (for example, in response to a court order), or if necessary to protect our rights, our staff, or other people.
5. International transfers
Some of our service providers (notably Google, Meta, and US-based form or email tools) store data on servers outside the UK and EU. Where we transfer your data internationally, we rely on:
- UK and EU adequacy decisions where they exist (for example, the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
- Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK Information Commissioner, with additional safeguards where appropriate.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your data only as long as we need to for the purpose we collected it. Specifically:
- Enquiries that don't lead anywhere — up to 12 months, in case you come back to us.
- Client and student records — for the duration of our relationship, then 7 years afterwards (HMRC requirement).
- Email marketing subscribers — until you unsubscribe.
- Analytics data — Google Analytics is configured with a 14-month retention window.
- Server logs — typically 30 days.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights over your personal data. Most of them are exercised free of charge, and we'll respond within one month:
- Right of access — ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — ask us to correct anything that's wrong or incomplete.
- Right to erasure — ask us to delete your data, where we don't have a legal reason to keep it.
- Right to restrict processing — ask us to pause processing while we resolve a dispute.
- Right to data portability — ask for your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to object — particularly to marketing or processing based on legitimate interest.
- Right to withdraw consent — at any time, where consent is the legal basis. This won't affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@nonamedigital.co.uk and we'll handle it from there.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). You can do that at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first, so do come to us before going to the ICO if you can.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal data we hold — including secure hosting, encryption in transit (HTTPS), limited internal access, strong password practices, and contractual obligations on the third parties we work with.
No internet transmission is ever 100% secure. If we ever became aware of a breach that affected your data, we'd notify you and the ICO as required by law.
9. Children
Our services are aimed at adult professionals. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe we've inadvertently done so, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our practices change or as the law evolves. The date at the top tells you when it was last updated. Significant changes will be highlighted on the homepage or notified to subscribers by email.
